At least 100 people were injured on Tuesday when a fire broke out in a gas pipeline operated by Malaysia's state energy firm Petronas.

According to the Fire Control Department, 60 of the injured have been admitted to the hospital. It is said that most of them are burnt, have breathing problems and have injuries. Firefighters said that at least 49 houses were damaged due to the explosion.

According to news organizations, many people have been forced to flee their homes due to the incident near the capital Kuala Lumpur.

According to a statement from the Selangor State Fire Fighting Agency, the fire that broke out during the Eid celebration spread to about 500 meters due to a gas pipeline leak.
