Nadeem Amin, a Hindu citizen, was shot dead in Peshawar, Pakistan. Nadeem was shot and killed because he refused to convert to Islam.

BBC Urdu reported that the murder took place in the postal colony of Peshawar. Nadeem was shot on Saturday while he was returning home after finishing his work. 56-year-old Nadeem is an employee of a government institute by profession. The police arrested the assailant who fled after the shooting. 

Nadeem's brother Sagar Amin has mentioned in his petition that Mushtaq shot at his brother while he was in the colony. He said, "Dai, who was injured after being shot, died while preparing to take him to the hospital." According to the

petition, the accused had been threatening Nadeem to convert to Islam for two/three months. But his brother Sagar told the BBC that he was shot and killed after refusing to convert to Islam even after repeated threats. 

Ajmal Hayat, SHO of Bhana Mari Police Station, talking to BBC Urdu said that the accused escaped after the murder. But by a special team under the leadership of DSP City Yakh Tut Circle, Mushtaq has been arrested from Charsadda area. 

According to the police, in the initial statement, Mushtaq has admitted that he killed Nadeem's Amin.
