The US has launched airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. According to the international media, 23 people died in the attack in Yemen.
US President Donald Trump has said that the US has launched a decisive and powerful air strike against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Trump says that the US launched an air strike in response to the Houthi attack on the ship in the Red Sea. He wrote on his social platform Truth, "Houthi, who is receiving financial support from Iran, fired a missile at the American plane. And our soldiers and allies have targeted them.' Trump said that billions of dollars have been lost and thousands of people's lives are in danger from Houthi rebels' piracy, violence and terror. Although the United States said that 23 people were killed, the Ministry of Health, run by the Houthi rebels, said that 15 people were killed and many were injured in the American attack.
Trump has also warned that the Houthi rebels will destroy the Red Sea without stopping their terror. He said, "If they don't stop their terror, such destruction will rain on them that they have never seen before." Houthi said, "This aggression will definitely be answered." Our armed forces in Yemen are ready to respond to this aggression.'
Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has warned Iran for providing financial support to the Houthis.
