US President Trump has warned of a 200 percent customs duty on alcohol imported from European countries. He said that if the European Union does not remove the 50 percent customs duty announced on whiskey, it will impose a 200 percent tax.
With the start of his second term, President Trump has increased taxes on goods entering the United States from various countries. Earlier, he raised 25 percent tariffs on all steel and aluminum entering the US.
In response, the European Union has announced that it will increase tariffs on US goods worth 28 billion dollars, including boats, bourbon whiskey and motorcycles, effective from April 1. In response, Trump has warned of a 200 percent tax on European alcohol.
