US Special Envoy for the Middle East (West Asia) Steve Wittkoff has said that Washington "wants a framework for a peace agreement and an early ceasefire".
Earlier, Zelensky, who arrived in America for talks, had a heated argument with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. After the uproar in the Oval Office of the White House, the mineral agreement that was supposed to be between the two countries could not be reached. Trump claimed that Zelensky was not ready to end the fight.
After that, President Trump has been increasing pressure on Ukraine. He demands that Moscow accept the American proposal for an immediate ceasefire. But as Zelensky said, Trump is not ready to guarantee Ukraine's security. In order to put pressure on Ukraine, Trump has stopped the military and other aid he has been giving to Ukraine.
