After the failed talks between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office of the White House last Friday, the US has stopped military aid to Ukraine.

On Monday, President Donald Trump ordered the suspension of military aid to Ukraine after discussions with senior national security officials at the White House. Since the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the United States has been providing military support to Ukraine through various means.

"After the failed talks and disputes between Trump and Zelensky, Trump has ordered the suspension of US military aid and transportation to Ukraine, and with this order, the decision has moved into the implementation phase," a White House official told CNN. The official also said that it will be seen whether the dispute will be resolved if the military aid is stopped. He also responded that President Trump is focused on establishing peace.

The Biden administration is preparing to implement Trump's order by stopping the military assistance promised earlier. Officials and analysts said that Ukraine's ability to fight the war could be seriously affected after the US freezes aid, according to CNN.

"The decision will remain in place until Zelensky commits to peace talks, and Trump's order will basically force Ukraine to come to the negotiating table after fears of further damage on the battlefield," a White House official said. We need to be committed to the goal behind our collaboration. We are suspending our aid and reviewing it so that it will contribute more to solving the problem.'

Another senior official of the Trump administration said that military aid will be stopped until Ukrainian President Zelensky is committed to peace talks. He told Fox News, "This is not a permanent end of aid, this is a pause." According to the statement of the official, it seems that the US is trying to force Ukraine to come back to the discussion by stopping the military aid. After Russia attacked its neighboring country Ukraine for about four years, the Trump administration has been claiming that former President Joe Biden's administration has provided billions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine to fight the Russian army.

Zelenskiy's meeting with Trump and Vice President JD Vance last week was viewed globally. Zelensky came to America to meet Trump as the peace talks to end the war between Ukraine and Russia reached the final stage. A few minutes after the journalists asked the first question in the Oval Office, the aggressive talk between the heads of state started. Trump and Vance became angry with Zelensky after he refused to sign the mineral deal.
