The US is now going to sell visas to wealthy foreigners. US President Donald Trump has announced the introduction of a new visa program called 'Gold Card'.

According to President Trump, the "Gold Card" can be purchased for 5 million US dollars (695 million rupees). President Trump has announced this program targeting wealthy foreigners.

According to the American media, any person will be able to live and work in the US after buying a 'Gold Card' and the process of obtaining American citizenship will also be easy. 

"We are selling gold cards," Trump said from the Oval Office, "You have a green card, but this will be a gold card." We're going to put it at about $5 million and it's going to pave the way for green card holders and citizenship. Wealthy people will buy this card and come to our country.' 

Trump has said that the sale of 'gold card' will be started within two weeks . He expects tens of millions of foreigners to buy this card. 

"Are you also selling this card to a Russian billionaire?" Trump said, "Yes, possibly." I know some Russian billionaires, who are very good.'

Trump was announcing the sale of the 'gold card' by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who stood by and said the card would replace the US government's 'EB-5' visa program. EB-5 allows foreign investors to invest in US projects to create jobs. Only then can they apply for a visa for immigration.

The main objective of the 'EB-5' visa program, which was launched in 1992, is to attract foreign investment. Under this program, a person should invest at least 1 million 50 thousand US dollars and create employment. 

Businesses linked to Trump and his family have also used the program to add wealth. Even during Trump's first term, lawmakers said the program deviated from its goals and needed reform. 

In 2019, the Trump administration set a minimum investment of $9 million for targeted economic sectors and $1.8 million for other sectors. But the move will be attempted in 2021  A federal judge overturned it .
