Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed cooperation with the United States for the extraction of rare minerals in Russia, including the occupied Ukrainian territories.
In a televised interview on Monday night, President Putin praised Trump's approach to the Ukraine war and offered the United States to mine Russia's mineral resources, the BBC reported. At a time when the two countries are trying to end the Russia-Ukraine war, Putin has made a new proposal for America.
The US and Ukraine are believed to be nearing an agreement to provide access to rare earth metals in exchange for security guarantees to Ukraine. Putin has invited the US to use such metals.
Putin said, 'This proposal also applies to the extraction of mineral resources in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine .' In addition, he also said that American companies should participate in projects such as energy and aluminum production in Russia.
