Hamas has advanced its terms to Israel in the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Hamas has said that only after the release of the Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons, the talks on the previous phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement will take place.
On Sunday, Israel announced that it had blocked the release of more than 600 Palestinian prisoners. They were supposed to be released in exchange for 6 alive and 4 dead Israeli hostages.
Israel accuses Hamas of continuously violating the Gaza ceasefire. A senior Hamas leader has said that the deal is in serious jeopardy because of Israel's refusal to release Palestinian prisoners.
He also demanded that mediators, especially the United States, increase pressure on Israel, according to the BBC. According to the agreement, the first phase of the 6-week ceasefire will end on Saturday. But the second phase and direct negotiations for the end of the war have not yet started.
