The government efficiency department 'Dodge' led by American billionaire Elon Musk has asked US government employees to list their achievements within a week or resign.

In an email sent to government employees on Saturday, they were asked to detail the achievements of the past week or resign. This is the latest move by the Donald Trump administration to target federal employees.

Previously, Musk had tweeted that he would send emails to employees to understand what they did for a week. After that, the employee received such an email. 'Failure to answer the email will be considered as resignation,' he wrote. 

With the start of the second term of the presidency, Donald Trump established Dodge through an executive order. After that, Trump selected the billionaire Musk to lead Dodge. Dodge was established with the aim of reducing government expenditure. 

Dodge Chief Musk has led an aggressive drive to cut government spending by laying off employees and freezing funds. 

According to international media, the email was received by federal employees shortly after Trump spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Regarding emails received by employees, 'What did you do last week?' It is written that According to the BBC, in sending the email, HR, i.e. the agency that manages human resources, has been mentioned.  According to the BBC, in the

email, employees were asked to mention their work and achievements within a week in five points without revealing confidential information before midnight on Monday. But in the email, nothing is mentioned about the fact that failure to respond will be considered as resignation.

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the human resources management agency of the US federal government, has confirmed that an email has been sent to employees. As part of advancing the Trump administration's commitment to make the federal workforce efficient and accountable, OPM  It is said that the employees were asked for details of their work for a week through email. 

The American Federation of Government Employees, the largest employee union representing federal employees, said that sending emails to employees is "cruel and disrespectful" and will challenge the "unlawful removal" of federal service employees in any way. 

'Once again, Elon Musk and the Trump administration have grossly disrespected federal employees and the vital service they provide to Americans,' said a statement released by union president Everett Kelly.
