Hamas announced the names of the three people it will release on Saturday

Local media reported that Hamas released the names of three hostages on Friday, following Israel's warning that it would cancel the month-old cease-fire agreement in Gaza.

Israeli-Russian Sasha Trupanov, Israeli-American Sagui Dekel-Chen and Israeli-Argentinian Yair Horn are among the hostages to be released on Saturday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said.

Palestinian militant group Hamas has agreed to the release of three more hostages this week after Israel warned it would have to choose between releasing three surviving hostages or restarting the war in Gaza. Earlier, Hamas said it would block the release, saying it was a clear violation of the ceasefire.

After US President Donald Trump proposed that the US occupy the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian group has come under intense pressure to abide by the cease-fire agreement signed on January 19 to end the 15-month war in Gaza.

According to Israeli media, Hamas is preparing to announce the names of the three hostages who will be released on Saturday, reiterating their commitment to a cease-fire and another exchange "according to a set schedule". Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Kanou said, "We are willing to implement it (ceasefire) and are obliged to resort to hostages in possession to fully comply with it." Government spokesman David Menser said, "If Hamas does not start the process of returning at least three of our hostages before Saturday, the cease-fire will end by Saturday noon."
