America is going to return more than 1.4 million immigrants to their country. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced that 1,445,549 people, including 1,365 Nepalis, will be deported from the US immediately.
According to ICE's list, the largest number of people who are to be returned from the United States are citizens of Honduras. 261 thousand 651 people from Honduras will be expelled . Similarly, 253,413 people from Guatemala, 252,44 people from Mexico and 23,822 people from El Salvador will be deported. There are 37 thousand 908 people from China and 17 thousand 940 people from India on the
list. According to ICE, the list includes those who have been ordered to be deported by November 24, 2024 but have not been arrested.
With Donald Trump taking over the presidency, the US has started to return illegal immigrants home . Immediately after Trump was sworn in, he signed an executive order to deport illegal immigrants.
As Trump announced during the election campaign, he has also declared a state of emergency on the southern border. With his announcement, 1,500 soldiers have been deployed in the border area with Mexico. The Ministry of Defense is preparing to deploy 10,000 more soldiers.
There are currently 11 million illegal immigrants in America. According to Pew Research, the most of them are 4 million from Mexico. El Salvador, which is in second place, has 750,000. India, which is in the third place, has 725,000 illegal immigrants. Most of them are said to be from Punjab and Gujarat provinces. Similarly, Guatemala has 675 thousand, Honduras has 525 thousand and Venezuela has 270 thousand.
The state of California has the highest number of illegal immigrants at 1.8 million. There are 1.6 million illegal immigrants in Texas, 1.2 million in Florida, 650,000 in New York, 475,000 in New Jersey and 400,000 in Illinois. Similarly, there are 350,000 illegal immigrants in Georgia, 325,000 in North Carolina, 300,000 in Massachusetts and 300,000 in Washington.
