4 Israeli female soldiers freed by Hamas

The Palestinian group Hamas released four Israeli hostages on Saturday. They were released in accordance with the cease-fire and hostage release agreement reached in Gaza last Sunday.

According to CNN, released on Saturday  Karina Ariev, Daniela Gilboa, Nama Levy and Liri Albagh are Israeli female soldiers. In exchange for four female soldiers, Israel will release about 200 Palestinian prisoners. Crowds of civilians have gathered in the center of Gaza City as the hostages prepare to leave. 

It is reported that dozens of Hamas fighters in military uniforms were seen there. BBC reported that some of them were carrying guns. On the Israeli side, people gathered in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square watching live news from Gaza on a big screen. 

Hamas is expected to release information on the other 26 hostages to be released in the first phase of the ceasefire in a few days . The agreement between Hamas and Israel states that 50 Palestinian prisoners will be released for every Israeli soldier and 30 Palestinian prisoners for every civilian. agreement, Hamas will release 33 Israeli hostages in the first phase of the ceasefire lasting nearly 6 weeks. In exchange for that, it is said that about 1900 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons will be released. The second phase of the ceasefire negotiations will be held 16 days after the first phase begins . 

In the second phase, the rest of the hostages will be released and the Israeli army will be completely withdrawn from the Gaza Strip. It is mentioned in the agreement that the reconstruction of Gaza will be carried out in the third and final phase. At this stage, it is said that the rest of the hostages will be released and the bodies will be returned.

Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people. was . 251 people were taken hostage. After that, the war between Hamas and Israel escalated. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, 46,800 Palestinians have lost their lives in the war since October 7. More than a third of them are children.

According to Palestinian authorities, the number of children killed has exceeded 18,000. 100,000 were injured in the Israeli attack. More than 1400 people have died in Israel.
