Another 300 North Korean soldiers have lost their lives in the war against Ukraine. According to South Korean officials, 2,700 soldiers were injured.

According to South Korea's intelligence agency, North Korea has sent 10,000 soldiers to Russia to help in the war against Ukraine. It is claimed that the soldiers were sent by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to Pyongyang in exchange for Russian technical support for the banned weapons and satellite program.

Last Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country's army had arrested two Korean soldiers who were wounded. Stating that those soldiers were interrogated, he said that there is a possibility of exchange with the Ukrainian soldiers.

'The deployment of North Korean troops in Russia has been expanded to cover the Kurk region. "It is estimated that more than 3,000 North Korean soldiers have died," MP Lee Seong-Kwen told reporters after a briefing by the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

According to Lee, those soldiers of North Korea's "Storm Corps" were ordered to commit suicide rather than be taken prisoner. "Especially the memos found on the dead soldiers indicate that the North Korean authorities pressured them to commit suicide or suicide bombings before arresting them," he said.

Lee claims that a North Korean soldier who was about to be arrested shouted "General Kim Jong Un" and tried to detonate a grenade. It is said that the number of casualties is high because the North Korean soldiers "do not understand modern warfare". NIS had previously said that 1100 North Korean soldiers lost their lives in the Ukraine war.
