Attempts by the police to arrest the suspended South Korean president after the impeachment have failed.

After about six hours of struggle, the police action to arrest the suspended South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has stopped. According to the Korean news agency Yonhap, the army team protecting Yoon blocked the way of the police who came to arrest him by forming a human wall.

Yun's security forces and the South Korean army also blocked vehicles on the road to stop the police.

An impeachment motion has reached the parliament for abusing power and trying to enforce military law against Yun. He was suspended after the impeachment motion reached the parliament. In South Korea, the Constitutional Court makes the final decision on the impeachment motion of the parliament.

However, the court allowed Yun to be arrested after he did not appear in court despite being summoned three times. Based on that permission, the police team went to arrest Yun on Friday. 20 teams of police reached Yun's house at 8 am.

However, after Yun's security forces and the army clashed with the police, the police said that they stopped the mission to arrest Yun.
