At least 10 people died when a car plowed into a crowd of people celebrating New Year in New Orleans, USA. According to CNN, 30 people were injured in the incident.

After plowing into New Year's Eve crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, the driver got out of the car and started shooting. After that, the police targeted him and fired back. Two police officers were injured in the shooting, according to the New Orleans police chief.

Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick said the suspected attacker drove into the crowd in preparation. "He tried to run over as many people as possible," she said. It is reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has started an investigation into the

incident. FBI Special Agent Althea Duncan said a possible explosive device was found at the scene.
