52 people died when a fuel tanker and a truck collided on the highway in Ghazni province of Afghanistan. A spokesman for the Taliban government said on Thursday that 65 people were injured in the accident.

Hamidullah Nisar, the provincial head of information and culture, said on the social network X that the accident occurred in Ghazni province between the capital Kabul and southern Kandahar on Wednesday night. There have been vehicle accidents in two separate places on the Kabul-Kandahar highway. In that incident, 52 people have died and 65 people have been injured, said spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid. 

The accident occurred when a bus collided with a fuel tanker near Shahbaz village in central Ghazni. Similarly, Nisar said another bus collided with a truck in the eastern district. The rescue team reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital and the condition of some of them is serious.
