Donald Trump, the candidate of the Republican Party, won for the second time in the presidential election in the United States on Tuesday. Trump was elected as the 47th President of the United States by defeating the Democratic Party's candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to AP, Republican candidate Trump is certain to get at least 277 electoral votes. At least 270 electoral votes out of a total of 538 votes must be brought to be elected as the American president. It is certain that the candidate of the Democratic Party, Vice President Harris, will receive at least 224 electoral votes.

535 electoral votes have been determined for the 50 states of America and 3 electoral votes for the federal capital District of Columbia. It is seen that Trump will clean sweep the seven "swing states" considered decisive in this election: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin and Nevada.

Most of the 50 states in the US have traditionally won one party in presidential elections. States favored by the Democratic party candidate are known as 'blue' states and states held by the Republican candidate are known as 'red' states. The states where any of the two candidates can win are called 'swing states'.
