With 12 countries including the US calling for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the army to "continue the attack with full force" in Lebanon.

As the war between Israel and Hezbollah escalated, countries including the United States, Britain and the European Union called for a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon. America, Australia, Canada, European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Britain and Qatar issued a joint statement asking for a ceasefire for three weeks.

Those countries announced that diplomatic initiatives and solutions would be possible to end the conflict after a three-week ceasefire. They mentioned in the statement that the ceasefire was necessary for the interests of the people of Israel and Lebanon. But ignoring it, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the army (IDF) to "continue the full offensive".

'The news about the ceasefire is not true . This is an American-French proposal, to which the Prime Minister has not given any response," the BBC quoted the Israeli Prime Minister's Office as saying, "The Prime Minister has instructed the army to continue fighting with full force . In addition, the war will continue in Gaza until the goal is achieved. Netanyahu has left for New York to address the United Nations General Assembly. He is addressing the General Assembly on Friday.

Similarly, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz also said that "there will be no ceasefire in the northern region". "We will continue to fight with all our might against the terrorist organization Hezbollah until Israel wins and the residents of the northern region return safely to their homes," he wrote on the social network X .

Yair Lapid, the leader of the Israeli opposition party, said that "the Biden-Macron ceasefire proposal should be accepted". But he said that it would be appropriate to have a ceasefire only for a week, BBC has mentioned. American President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron issued a separate joint statement saying that the ceasefire would pave the way for civilians in war-torn areas to return home and provide security.

Israel's former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has said that if Hezbollah wants to stop the attack, it must disarm itself and stay at least 15 kilometers away from the Israeli border.

IDF Chief Harji Halevi said after the fierce attack on Lebanon that they could pave the way for them to enter enemy territory, the announcement of 12 countries came. The announcement was made public after the meeting of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

But Israel continues to attack southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region. The IDF reported that Hezbollah targeted 75 locations on Wednesday night. At least 13 people died in those attacks, according to the Ministry of Health of Lebanon.

Along with this, the number of people who lost their lives in air strikes by Israel since Monday has exceeded 600 . More than 100 women and children are killed. It is said that at least 1800 people were injured. Tens of thousands have been displaced from southern Lebanon due to the attack.

Likewise, the IDF launched a fierce attack on the Israel-Syria border on Thursday. The IDF claims that ``Hezbollah was transporting weapons, so they had to attack the border area with Syria to stop it.'' In response to that, Hezbollah has fired at least 45 rockets at a military base in northern Israel, according to the BBC.

Since the war in Gaza started on October 7 last year, cross-border attacks between Israel and Hezbollah have continued. Last week, 37 people were killed in the explosion of pagers and walkie-talkies used by the Hezbollah group. Likewise, Hezbollah's top military commander, Ibrahim Akil, was killed in an airstrike by Israel last week in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
