The Chinese government has put forward a proposal to establish a global cooperation organization related to artificial intelligence (AI). The headquarters of this organization is planned to be in Shanghai, according to the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

Through this, it is intended to share AI-related products with China's progress in AI, especially to developing countries called the Global South.

Chinese Premier Li Jiang has said that there is a plan to open such a global organization to help regulate the rapidly expanding AI technology and to collaborate on the progress achieved by China. He put forward such a proposal at the 'World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2025' held in Shanghai. The aim of the

organization is to advance the concept of 'AI for Good' for inclusive development while reducing the digital divide. China thinks that it will address the calls made by developing countries.

Prime Minister Jiang, while speaking at the opening ceremony of the World AI Conference and Global AI Governance High-Level Meeting, said that the international community should pay special attention to the common governance of AI.

He pointed out the need to create common rules and structures based on broad consensus for AI development and use. He claimed that China is continuously promoting multilateral and bilateral cooperation on AI.

According to news agency Xinhua, the organization will strengthen international cooperation. It is said that this organization will work as a platform to connect the demand and supply chain of AI and advanced technology sector. It is claimed that China will increase coordination with various countries in policy making, technology expansion and good governance standards.

Last week, the US also released the AI Blueprint and revealed the intention of maintaining the dominance of the US in this important technology by increasing US AI exports. According to Reuters, although Chinese Premier Jiang did not clearly mention the US, he expressed the intention of Washington trying to hinder China's AI expansion. "There is a danger that AI will become a monopoly of some countries and companies," he said.
