Discovery of a new body in the solar system, speculation that the ninth planet will soon be found

Scientists have been studying the existence of a ninth planet in our solar system for years. But so far no proof has been found. But recently, Japanese astronomers have discovered a new body orbiting the sun at the outer reaches of the solar system.

Which is named Ammonite. Its scientific name is 2023 KQ-14. Through the orbit analysis of this body, it has been found that its movement does not match the calculation of other bodies moving in that region of the solar system.

Japanese astronomers discovered ammonite with the help of the Subaru telescope. Its full research has been published in Nature Astronomy on 15 July.

What is an ammonite?

Ammonite is different from any planet or asteroid. This is a sadnoid. 2024 KQ 14 is said to be at least 66 AU from the Sun and closest at 252 AU. An astronomical unit is considered equal to the distance between the Earth and the Sun.  Why is

so important?

Ammonite is special because of its mysterious orbit. In the Kuiper belt beyond the planet Barun, several small bodies orbit the Sun in the same direction. It includes the asteroid Sedna and bodies like 2013 V113, 2004 VN112, 2010 GB174, 2013 RF98 and 2007 TG422.

What is the probability of the ninth planet?

Japan's National Astronomical Laboratory Dr. Yukun Huang said in a press conference, "The current orbit of 2023 KQ14 is different from the other 3 Sdnai8 planets. Therefore, the possibility of the ninth planet may be less. But if it is the ninth planet, its mass may be more than Baruna. And may be at a distance of 400 to 800 astronomical units from the Sun.'

The Vera C. Rubin laboratory located in Chili is considered to be the foremost for the discovery of the ninth planet. This search is expected to be completed in 2026.
