A woman has died after being beaten by her husband in Dodhara Chandani Municipality-10 of Kanchanpur. Police have said that 45-year-old Paru Sunar died on Thursday morning.
According to DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Run Bahadur had beaten up his wife Paru on Wednesday afternoon over a minor dispute. She was injured in the beating and was being treated at the Primary Health Center in Dodhara.
‘We have received reports that she was beaten up over a dispute, and then she was taken to the hospital,’ DSP Rawat said. ‘We received reports that she died this morning.’ He said that the batterer, Run Bahadur, has been taken under control.
