At least three people were killed and five others were seriously injured in a jeep accident in Bajhang on Saturday.
The jeep with Sudurpaschim Province registration number 01-001 Cha 2644, which was heading from Kandachaur in Kedarsyun Rural Municipality–7 towards Chuhawan in Durgathali Rural Municipality, fell about 300 meters off the road. Kedarsyun Rural Municipality disaster focal person Lekhraj Rawal said that information had been received about three deaths and five people being seriously injured in the accident.
District Police Office Bajhang spokesperson Inspector Dipak Bisht also confirmed that information had been received about the deaths of three passengers. The identities of the deceased have been established. Rescue operations are ongoing at the accident site.
