Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has decided to close all schools within the city area for four days due to the increasing heat.

The education department of the sub-metropolitan city issued a notice on Monday and decided to grant holidays to schools from Ashad 9 to 12.

The sub-metropolitan city has stated that the holiday has been given keeping in mind the adverse effects that heat can have on the health of students. The notice states that all community and institutional schools under the sub-metropolitan city will remain closed during this period.

Normal life has been affected due to the excessive heat in Kailali and other Terai districts for the past few days.
