Bedkot Municipality in Kanchanpur has decided to close schools for four days due to the extreme heat. 

Considering the health of students due to the adverse weather conditions, the municipality has declared a holiday for all schools in the city for four days from Tuesday to Friday, informed Chief Administrative Officer Haridatta Bhatta.

Bhimdatta Municipality has also decided to grant 12 days of holiday to community and institutional schools due to the extreme heat. According to Mahesh Bahadur Bam, Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, it has been decided to grant holidays to schools from Asad 20 to Asad 19 by combining the summer and annual holidays.

The heat has increased significantly in Kanchanpur for the past week. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged people to be alert as there is a possibility of a heat wave in the Terai districts for the next three days.
