In Marma Rural Municipality-4 of Darchula, a wife has been taken into custody on suspicion of murdering her husband. Police have said that they have started an investigation after taking into custody the wife of Purna Singh Dhami, a local of Marma-4, into custody on suspicion of murder in her own house on Jestha 11. According to the District Police Office, the investigation has become complicated as the police received information only after the cremation two days after the incident. Darchula Police DSP Gaurav Mahat said that they received initial information that Purna Singh's body was found murdered inside his own house. He informed the police about the incident only two days later on Tuesday. The locals have already cremated the body on Asad 1. The police said that the investigation into the incident has become more sensitive as they received information that the body was cremated before evidence could be collected from the scene. The reason for the incident has not been revealed yet. The police said that they have extended the remand by 10 days from the court and are continuing the investigation. The deceased Dhami had returned home from Bangalore, India, about a month ago. He had been working in India for about 10 years.
