The Sudurpaschim provincial government is preparing to bring the largest budget ever . Although the budget is supposed to be presented on Monday, the provincial government is in internal discussions until Sunday noon  .

The budget preparation has been delayed due to last-minute ministerial reshuffles and pressure to increase the size of the budget  Officials preparing for the budget preparation say that internal revenue will increase compared to the current fiscal year on the basis of other factors for the increase in the size of the budget. The official said that it is estimated that revenue from raw materials from forest resources, gravel and sand will also increase. The government had estimated that the total internal revenue in the current fiscal year would be 1.65 billion. The time to present the budget in the provincial assembly has been fixed for Monday afternoon.

On the other hand, there was a cabinet reshuffle in the Far West 5 days ago. The Minister of Economic Affairs was also changed in the process. Officials of the Ministry of Finance involved in the budget preparation said that the budget preparation done by the previous minister, Bahadur Singh Thapa, was delayed after the newly appointed Minister Vikram Singh Dhami started rewriting it. 'The projects and budget prepared by the old minister have been completely changed by the new minister,' said an official. 'The same situation is happening in other ministries where ministers have changed, so there are delays. Preparations will be completed by Monday afternoon.'

Along with economic affairs, the Congress led the reshuffle in the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment. Belhadur Rana Magar of the Congress was appointed in place of Meghraj Khadka, who was the Minister of Social Development, while Man Bahadur Rawal was appointed in place of Shivraj Bhatta, who was the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.

On the other hand, due to the strong pressure from the ruling party MPs and party ranks to demand a budget plan, an MP said that the government has reached the stage of preparing to increase the size of the budget. The government has already collected budget plans from them to provide a separate budget for the MPs. The government has already allocated a total of Rs 3.29 billion for the MPs. The Chief Minister's Office has already collected budget figures and a list of projects from the MPs.

Amid the rush to prepare the budget in the ministries, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Physical Infrastructure Development has announced that meetings in the ministry have been stopped. A notice has been posted at the main gate of the ministry stating, 'This is to inform you that the meeting has been suspended from Thursday due to the busy schedule of the Honorable Minister.'

Dhan Bahadur Rokaya, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, said that this decision was taken after the ministry started to receive increasing crowds to request plans.  In the Far West, there have been allegations that plans are being distributed on the basis of purchase and sale of plans and access.  Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has been saying that no projects with a budget of less than 2.5 million will be included in the upcoming budget.
