District Hospital Baitadi is to be upgraded. The Far Western Province government, while presenting its policy program for the next fiscal year on Monday, said that the hospitals in the hilly districts including Baitadi will be upgraded to 25 to 50 beds.

Although District Hospital Baitadi is currently operating with 15 beds, District Hospital Baitadi Chairman Dhan Bahadur Chhetri said that it is providing 50-bed facilities considering the infrastructure and the pressure of service recipients.

District Hospital Baitadi has the physical infrastructure and pressure of patients to operate a 50-bed hospital, so they have demanded that the provincial government operate the hospital accordingly.

He said that the provincial government is confident that District Hospital Baitadi will be converted into a 50-bed hospital, as it has 91 marks in the marking score in the MSS Assessment Survey and has been counted as the best hospital in the country twice.

Similarly, three provincial hospitals in the Far Western Province, Seti, Mahakali and Tikapur Hospitals, will be upgraded to 100 beds.
