The District Administration Office, Doti, has started door-to-door passport distribution through postal service.

As per the policy of the Government of Nepal, this service, which was launched with the aim of providing government services at home, will now deliver documents including passports, copies of citizenship certificates and driving licenses to the homes of the service recipients. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the District Administration Office and the District Post Office for this purpose.

Chief District Officer Kalpana Ghimire Nepal said that passports will be delivered to the homes of the nearby areas within two days through postal service. According to her, passports will reach the homes of the service recipients within five days in Bogtan Phudsil Rural Municipality, seven days in Badikedar Rural Municipality, two days in Sayal Rural Municipality, and five days in Jorayal Rural Municipality.

She informed that a postal service counter has been operational at the District Administration Office from today and said that if the service recipients request it to be delivered to their homes during the biometrics, the passports will be provided to their homes through postal service.
