‘The minor’s hands and feet were tied behind his back and tied with ropes, and he was made to lie on the ground, beaten with stones, sticks and punches until he was unconscious, and then the dog tied to the house was released and bit him,’ the complaint filed by the injured child’s grandmother Nanda Mehta at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur states. ‘After that, the child was rescued by locals in an injured condition.’
The victim’s family has filed a complaint against Nath for murder. The child, who is from Bedkot-3, is in India for employment. The child has been living in his maternal uncle’s house in Polkhari. The maternal uncle’s grandmother has been taking care of him.
The injured child has been handed over to his relatives after treatment at the Mahakali Provincial Hospital, said SP Khadak Bahadur Khatri of the District Police, Kanchanpur. According to SP Khatri, Nath, who behaved inhumanly towards the child, has been taken under control and the court has extended his remand for 7 days and is conducting an investigation.
