The work of the bus park under construction in Amargadhi-8, Dakle has been disrupted again. The work has been halted due to the inability to relocate the electricity poles and lines at the construction site. The bus park is being constructed through the Federal Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Kailali.

An agreement was signed on 32 Jestha 2081 for the construction of the bus park. According to the agreement, the target was to complete the construction within 17 months. There is an investment of Rs 103 million 16 thousand 990. Malika-Kalika JV is carrying out the construction. The project has been affected by various obstacles since the beginning. In the beginning, the construction was halted due to the issue of felling of trees. The work could not proceed as the compensation dispute was not resolved.

Later, in Chaitra 2081, permission for felling was obtained only after more than Rs 10 million was deposited in the Forest Development Fund of the Government of Nepal as compensation for the trees in the construction area. After receiving the same permission, the construction work was started in Ashar. But just as the work was starting to progress, the problem of moving the electrical structure has been seen again.

Since the poles inside the construction site have not been moved, it has been difficult to carry out preliminary work such as leveling the ground using machines. This has increased the risk in the work and the construction process itself has been stopped.

Tulsiram Kharbuja, Chief of the Federal Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Kailali, has said that it has been difficult to move the electricity poles at the bus park construction site on time. According to him, it is difficult to carry out preliminary work such as leveling the ground using the necessary machines at the construction site until the poles are moved, which has also increased the technical risk in the work.

He informed that only four to five lakh rupees were allocated for the initial contract agreement based on the estimate of moving only one pole. But after the work started in the field, he said that the cost has increased as more poles have to be moved. According to Kapil Joshi, head of the Nepal Electricity Authority Distribution Center Dadeldhura, the necessary technical process for the relocation of the electrical infrastructure within the construction site has been completed.
