Two children have died after drowning in a ditch in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality.
The deceased are Janis, 5, son of Gagan Bohara of Bitthadchir Rural Municipality-1, and Prinsa, 6, daughter of Santosh Bohara of the same place.
They died after drowning in a ditch made to collect water for toilets, said District Police Bajhang Inspector Deepak Bista.
According to him, the children died after drowning in a pond while playing around 2:15 pm on Thursday. Police said that further investigation is underway at the scene.
