Nepali Congress MP Shivraj Bhatta has been appointed as the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment in the Sudurpaschim government, which has been vacant for a long time. On the recommendation of Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah, Province Chief Nazir Miyan appointed Bhatta as a minister on Monday. Province Chief Miyan administered the oath to Bhatta on Monday.

The meeting of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party took a unanimous decision on Monday to appoint Bhatta as a minister. He is an elected MP from Baitadi Province Assembly (2).
