A young man from Janaki Rural Municipality of Kailali has been arrested on charges of raping a teenager from Kailali.
Aman Chaudhary, 21, of Janaki Rural Municipality-7, Tikligarh, was arrested by the Area Police Office, Kailali on Sunday night.
Chaudhary was arrested after a complaint was filed against him for raping a 15-year-old teenager four days ago on Thursday, Kailali Police said.
According to Kailali District Police Office spokesperson Yogendra Timilsina, Chaudhary was arrested after the teenager's parents filed a complaint alleging that he raped her on Sunday by taking her to a field near her home.
The teenager has been taken into custody after a medical examination, while the accused Chaudhary has been kept at the Area Police Office, Tikapur, for further investigation, said spokesperson Timilsina.
