Electricity service has been disrupted frequently in most areas of Kanchanpur for the past few days. Due to irregular power supply, the daily lives of everyone from the general public to businessmen have been affected.

Local Devaki Bista complained that the power outage has caused problems in household chores and affected students' studies. She said that due to the lack of electricity in the evening and morning, basic tasks such as cooking, drawing water, charging mobile phones and electronic devices are difficult.

Similarly, businessmen say that production has decreased in small and medium industries and the service sector has also been affected. Due to frequent power cuts, internet service has been disrupted, causing problems in online work, banking services and communication.

The Electricity Authority, on the other hand, has stated that there is a problem in the supply of 33 kV power lines due to the wind. The Authority says that the supply is affected by problems such as tree branches falling on the lines and damage to poles and wires due to strong winds.

However, despite the increasing problems in electricity supply, the NEA has claimed that it has been mobilizing maintenance teams for line patrolling to resolve the problem as soon as possible. The NEA has stated that the necessary maintenance and management work has been carried out by collecting details of the damage in the affected areas.

Stakeholders suggest that measures such as strengthening the electricity infrastructure, timely maintenance of old poles and wires, tree management in risky areas and expansion of underground lines are necessary to solve the problem in the long term.
