A video has gone viral on social media in Kailali since Sunday evening. In the video dialogue, Naranarayan Shah, the Nepali Congress candidate for Kailali constituency number 5 in the recently held elections, said that NCP candidate Prem Ale Magar had given him a list of money distributed to 57 Congress leaders and activists. Shah's statement has created a sensation not only in the Congress circle but also in the political sector of the Far West.

'I had come third in the election, he came and gave me a list,' Shah said in the dialogue, 'I have goodwill towards you, but he said that these people of yours have taken financial support from me. He told me to be careful.' Shah had said that most of the responsible leaders and activists on the list are in various positions of responsibility in the party. But he has not made the list public. After this statement, the Congress Kailali has increased pressure on Shah to make the list public.

Meanwhile, Nepali Communist Party (NCP) candidate Prem Bahadur Ale has claimed that he did not distribute money to anyone and has been falsely promoted. Ale says that there is no truth in Shah's claim. 'This is my first time contesting elections in Kailali, and I am not familiar with the Congress workers,' Ale said. 'If I have submitted the list, I challenge you to make it public.' Congress candidate Shah is also the Sudurpaschim Province General Secretary of the party.

Shah is under intense pressure after his own statement was controversial. The Nepali Congress Kailali also issued a statement on Monday asking him to make public the list of leaders and workers who received money. 'The allegations of Congress leaders and workers making financial transactions from NCP candidate Prem Bahadur Ale have drawn serious attention,' Kailali Congress President Narayan Dutt Bhatta said in a statement. 'I request you to clarify this matter and fulfill your responsibility.' Shah has not responded further.

In Kailali-5, RSVP candidate Anand Bahadur Chand won by getting 31,953 votes. Shah came second with 11,958 votes and Ale came third with 7,876 votes.
