Achham Police has honored Tanka Prasad Dhungana, who has been an election policeman 10 times since the recently concluded House of Representatives elections in 2048 BS.
Dhungana of Mangalsen Garpalika-5, who first became a temporary policeman in the elections held on Baisakh 29, 2048 BS, was 18 years old at the time. Achham Police Chief DSP Om Prakash Khanal said that he was honored because he was selected for the 10th time in the elections announced by the government and deployed in the service since the age of 18.

Dhungana, who first became a temporary policeman in the elections held on Baisakh 29, 2048, served as a temporary policeman in the mid-term elections of 2051 BS, the local body elections of 2054 BS, and the first Constituent Assembly elections of 2064 BS. Similarly, the second Constituent Assembly elections were held in 2070 BS. He became a temporary policeman for the fifth time.
He also became a temporary policeman in the first local level elections after federalism in 2074 BS and the elections of the provincial and House of Representatives. The same sequence was repeated for him in the local, provincial and House of Representatives elections held in 2079 BS.
In the elections held on Falgun 21, he stood as a policeman for the tenth time in the security of the elections. He said that in the recently concluded House of Representatives elections, voters were confused about who to vote for and how to vote. "I saw security personnel and staff asking how to vote after receiving the ballot paper at the polling station. I had not seen such a scene in previous elections," he said.
