RSVP's Harimohan Bhandari has won the House of Representatives election from Baitadi. He defeated Nepali Congress's Chatur Bahadur Chand by 3,940 votes.
Bhandari got 22,134 votes, while his nearest rival Nepali Chand got 18,194 votes. Similarly, CPN-UML's Damodar Bhandari got 17,091 votes.
Baitadi, which has been a stronghold of CPN-UML, which has been winning continuously since 2070 BS, has been demolished by the RSVP this year.

Out of 156,372 voters in Baitadi, 72,843 people voted.
