CPN-UML candidate Yagya Bahadur Bogati has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Achham-2. Bogati won by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Pushpa Shah by a margin of 472 votes.

According to the final results of the public vote on Sunday night, Bogati received 9,518 votes, while Congress's Shah received 9,046 votes.

Similarly, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Bhupdev Shah received 4,552 votes, while CPN's Bal Bahadur Kunwar received 6,493 votes. Among the other candidates, Gulab Chishna received 558 votes, Halo received 167 votes, Madal received 60 votes, Chim received 52 votes, and Aankh Chishna received 113 votes.

A total of 32,408 votes were cast in Achham-2.

The competition between Bogati and Shah in Achham-2 has been repeated continuously in recent elections. Bogati had started his journey to parliament by defeating Shah in the 2074 BS House of Representatives election. Then in the 2079 BS election, Shah defeated Bogati.

This time, there was a tough competition between these two leaders again. Although the margin of victory was not very wide until the last round of counting, Bogati finally defeated Shah by maintaining his lead.

With this, Bogati has returned to the House of Representatives for the second time by winning in Achham-2.
