CPN-UML has maintained its lead in Kailali constituency number 2. UML candidate Surya Bahadur Thapa has received 933 votes with 3,706 votes counted.
Nepali Congress' Bijay Bahadur Swar, who is following him, has received 810 votes. Similarly, Nepali Communist Party's Nanda Bahadur Saud received 805 votes while Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)'s KP Khanal received 89 votes.
Patiram Chaudhary, who became the candidate of the Civil Liberation Party with the Chakia election symbol, got 53 votes and National Republic Nepal's candidate Dal Bahadur Buchcha Magar received 35 votes.
The Election Office has stated that 200 votes were invalid out of the votes counted.
