The National Independent Party has taken the lead in the counting of votes for the ongoing House of Representatives election in Dadeldhura. With 2,600 votes counted so far in the district's only House of Representatives constituency, the National Independent Party candidate Tara Prasad Joshi is in the lead.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, out of the 2,600 votes counted so far, 2,453 votes have been validated while 147 votes have been invalidated.
Among the validated votes, Joshi of the National Independent Party has taken the lead by securing 1,052 votes. Nepali Congress's Nainsingh Mahar has secured 508 votes, while Nepal Communist Party's Mansingh Mal is in second place with 530 votes.
Similarly, CPN (UML)'s Chakra Prasad Snehi has secured 317 votes. Rastriya Prajatantra Party's Govinda Khadayat has secured 18 votes.
Among other candidates, Jai Matrubhumi Party's Laxmi Dutta Bhatta has secured 12 votes, and Rastriya Janamorcha's Chandradev BK has secured 4 votes. Independent candidate Tirtharaj Upreti has received 4 votes, while Mahendra Pun Magar of Shram Sanskriti Party has received 2 votes. Independent candidate Gorakh Bahadur Air has received 1 vote. There is only one House of Representatives constituency in Dadeldhura district and the counting of votes is ongoing.
