Voting has been completed peacefully at all places in Jajarkot under the House of Representatives member election. Voting, which began at 7 am in 147 polling stations in 89 polling stations, including one temporary one, was completed peacefully. There were no major untoward incidents during the voting and the security arrangements were effective, informed District Chief District Officer Raju Prasad Poudel. According to him, the work of collecting ballot boxes from all polling stations has started as soon as the voting was completed. The process of bringing the collected ballot boxes to the designated counting center safely is ongoing.
Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Election Police were mobilized to make the election peaceful, dignified and orderly. The Main Election Office has informed that 61,667 votes were cast, including proportional, out of 107,091 voters in Jajarkot. Of these, 29,981 were male, 31,684 were female and 2 were others. The office stated that 57.58% of the total voters cast their votes.
