In the election for members of the House of Representatives held on Thursday, 51 percent of the total number of voters in Bajura voted.

According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Bajura, 44,773 votes were cast in 118 polling stations. Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Pokharel has informed that 51 percent of the votes cast have been cast. 

The election here, which is a Himalayan district, has been found to be different from previous elections. Chief Electoral Officer Pokharel said that this election was held in a peaceful atmosphere. After the voting process was over, the ballot boxes are being collected.

The ballot boxes of Himal Bhakti Basic School Gumba in Himali Rural Municipality-3, which is a remote and remote polling station, have been transported to the district headquarters, Martadi, by a Nepali Army helicopter today. 

The ballot boxes of the other three polling stations, Baudi, Bam and Bichhya, will be collected at the Bichhya Police Post and brought to them by a Nepali Army helicopter on Friday morning, said Chief Electoral Officer Pokharel. 

The ballot boxes around the district headquarters Martadi have reached the District Coordination Committee Bajura, where the vote counting site is located, and preparations are underway to bring ballot boxes from other areas by security personnel, said Chief District Officer Dorendra Niraula. 

Preparations have begun to bring ballot boxes to the polling stations in the road areas in vehicles under the security of the Nepal Army tonight, said Chief District Officer Niraula. There are 87,861 voters here. Of these, 45,428 are men, 42,431 are women and 2 are other voters. 

In Bajura, which has only one House of Representatives constituency, eight candidates, including seven political parties and one independent, are in the election contest.
