Jagannath Chaudhary, the candidate of the Civil Liberties Party Nepal in Kailali constituency number 5, has joined the National Independent Party.

On Tuesday, at the party office of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party in Dhangadhi, Rashtriya Swatantra Party central member Laxman Tharu and Kailali-5 candidate Dr. Ananda Bahadur Chand welcomed Chaudhary to the party with khada and garlands.

After joining the party, Chaudhary said that he decided to join the new journey as there was a clear similarity between the issues he had been continuously raising and the agenda put forward by the Rashtriya Swatantra Party.

'I saw a deep connection between the issues I raised and the issues put forward by the Rashtriya Swatantra Party. Many of my colleagues had already joined the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, but due to circumstances, I was not able to participate at that time. Now, I have joined the party to strongly advance common goals and objectives,' he said, 'Now we will all work together to bring the people's issues to fruition.'

In the 2079 BS House of Representatives election, Chaudhary was a candidate from Kailali-5 on behalf of the Civil Liberation Party Nepal. In that election, he received around five thousand votes. Chaudhary has now expressed his commitment to take the public support he has received through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and strengthen the common agenda.
