The 'Champions 36 - Grassroots to Glory' campaign was launched from Dhangadhi on Monday with the aim of bringing the Cricket World Cup to Nepal.
The campaign aims to win the World Cup in the next 10 years. Go Dreamers has launched the campaign with the aim of preparing players who will lift the T20 World Cup title in 2036.
In the first phase, a 10-year strategic partnership has been announced between Go Dreamers and Aishwarya Vidya Niketan. Aishwarya Vidya Niketan Principal Sanjay Pant and Go Dreamers President Subash Shahi have signed the agreement.
Under the campaign, a cricket talent search and selection process will be started from the school and community levels. It is mentioned that potential players will be identified through regular trials, inter-school competitions and special selection programs.
It is stated that the selected players will be provided with systematic and professional training, with the participation of coaches who have passed various levels from the Nepal Cricket Association and players with national and international experience. Under the training program, priority will be given to technical skill development, game strategy, fitness, mental strength, pressure management, discipline, teamwork and leadership development. The players are planned to be prepared in the long term through a modern training system, performance analysis and a phased development model.
It has been said that the players will be regularly involved in various level competitions within Nepal and will be provided with training and friendly match opportunities in prestigious cricket academies and competitions in India. It has been mentioned that there is a plan to arrange and invite training camps and international tours to other cricketing nations as per the need.
Shahi said that this campaign, which was launched at a time when the plan to build the FAPLA International Cricket Stadium and Sports Village in Dhangadhi is moving forward, is believed to make a significant contribution to the development of cricket. Go Dreamers is an organization active in identifying and developing young talents by conducting sports development programs.
