Along with the rain, snowfall has occurred in high-mountainous areas including Gwallek Khodpe, Anarkali, Dholyamod, Sigas, Melauli and other places in Baitadi. Similarly, locals have reported snowfall in Gaira, Saukharka in Doti, Hagulte in Dadeldhura, and Khaptad in Doti.
The cold has increased due to snowfall and rain. Daily wage laborers, children, and the elderly have been most affected. During snowfall, it is the custom of the locals here to make a fire in groups, mix various legumes, and eat bhumla (bean soup) and cooked farsi.
