Sujung English Boarding School has won the Padma Public Premier League-3 title.

Sujang won the title by defeating Padma Public Mukti Narayan Secondary School Team 'B' by 2 runs in Tundikhel, Siliguri on Friday.

Batting first, Sujang School scored 52 runs in the stipulated 10 overs. In reply, Padma Public 'B' team, which came out on the field, struggled till the last moment but could not reach the target. When the game took a turn in the last over, Sujang's team managed to win by 2 runs.

Sujang received Rs 75,000 in cash along with the title. Padma Public 'B' team, which came in second, received Rs 50,000 and Padma Public 'A' team, which came in third, received Rs 25,000 in cash.

Sugam Saund was declared the man of the match after his impressive performance with both bat and ball in the final match. Sujang's Sugam also won the title of the best player of the tournament.

Mohan Bhatt of Sujang was declared the best batter, Ashish Saund of Padma Public Mukti Narayan Secondary School was declared the best bowler, and Shoham Ghale of Morning Light Secondary School was declared the rising star.

18 teams participated in the competition that started on Magh 2. The Padma Public Premier League, which has been organized continuously for the past three years, has been a place to highlight hidden talents by giving equal importance to sports along with studies.
