Jawalpur Mavi has won the Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-level President's Running Shield this year.

Jawalpur Secondary School Sailod came first in the fourth rural municipality-level President Running Shield competition held at Devthala Sports Ground in Dhirmoda, Pancheshwor Rural Municipality-5, with 8 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze medals.

Similarly, Someshwor Secondary School came second in the President Running Shield by winning 7 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals, while Kulau Secondary School came third by winning 7 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals, informed Rural Municipality Chairman Gorakh Bahadur Chand.

Nine schools from across the municipality participated in the municipal-level President Running Shield competition. Rural Municipality Vice-Chairman Bina Bhatta said that such sports programs conducted at the local level will help in producing good players within the municipality. The President Running Shield, which was held since Tuesday, concluded on Thursday.
