Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly member Dr. Tara Joshi has resigned from his post after being nominated as a candidate for the House of Representatives from the National Independent Party (NISP).
Joshi, who won the Dadeldhura Provincial Assembly (B) as an independent candidate, has been named the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate for the House of Representatives.
He resigned from the provincial assembly after his candidacy was announced. Sudurpaschim Province Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari informed that he resigned via email on Sunday.
Joshi, who was recently associated with the Ujjaya Nepal Party, remained with the RSS after the alliance with the RSS broke down.
