The Doti Festival is being organized from Falgun 1 to 10 with the aim of highlighting the identity, culture, and potential of Doti in one place.
The festival will be held for 10 days at the proposed bus park Seti Bagar in Dipayal under the organization of the Doti Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The main organizing committee for the
festival has been formed under the coordination of the association's president, Bikram Saund. The association has stated that it is being organized with the aim of taking the economic, cultural and tourism potential of Doti to new heights. More than 100 stalls are being prepared to be set up in the
festival. Local agricultural produce, household and small industry materials produced in the district will be put up for exhibition and sale with priority. The
organizers have put forward the main objective of the festival to economically empower local industry, trade and business, and to preserve and promote Doti's original art, culture, religious activities, customs and Doti idols. In addition, Saund said that the main goal of the festival is to establish Doti as an attractive tourist destination by promoting internal and external tourism.
It is reported that there will be performances of local original dances, songs, costumes and culture throughout the festival, as well as exhibitions of handicrafts, herbs, food dishes, local products, industrial and commercial technology materials.
Religious and cultural tableaus, sports skill demonstrations by athletes and students, entertainment programs, children's parks, sports activities and performances by local and national artists will make the festival more attractive, informed the general secretary of the association, Prem Bhandari.
It is estimated that the cost of running the festival will be around 8.5 million rupees. According to the organizers, more than 100,000 spectators are expected to watch the festival.
